“What Football Means To Me” one year on ………………..
23rd April 2024
For me the thing about football is that it’s not just about football.
23rd April 2024 sees the one year anniversary since the publication date of the book for people who love football.
The research and shooting for the book took many months and along the way and I met some amazing, inspiring people across the country. All of the people I met literally throw their heart and soul into the “beautiful game” and the football world is enriched for the fantastic efforts they go to, to play, watch, officiate and administrate football.
Earlier this week I spent time at the Cure Parkinson’s Cup, the largest walking football tournament in the UK. It creates an opportunity for those who work their way through life with this very challenging condition to take part in a very well organised competition.
I count my ongoing relationship with Sport Parkinson’s as one of the key achievements and outcomes to arise from the publication of “What Football Means To Me…” and to have the opportunity to take photographs of twenty teams playing in a tournament at St Georges Park, the home of the England Football Association, was something I could never have dreamt of when I began the research phase for the book.
“What Football Means To Me…” is available as an eBook and paperback from Amazon UK and the eBook is currently on a special offer price of £3.99.
So, if you love football I’m sure that you will love reading the fantastic stories within the book.
